Since being small I have always had a creative streak. Bumbling from one craft to another. The one creative outlet which I have returned to time and again is photography.
Growing up in the countryside and now living on the Lincolnshire coast, I have a big appreciation of the natural world around me. The space and tranquillity of being outside really helps to calm some thoughts when the mind gets busy. As I have got older this has become more prominent in the images I take as I capture the landscapes I find myself in.
After dealing with a bout of ill health in 2017, my career goals changed, and I left my role in early years education. I took time to recover and turned back to dabbling in photography as a tool to escape. In 2020 I returned to education and enrolled on the foundation degree, which I have completed with distinction.
Through my academic journey I have learnt new skills and techniques which have led me to experiment with more art-based styles, creating projects such as, 'Toy Town' and 'The Unplatables.' This has led me onto creating artworks and prints which are available on request. Also keep an eye out for updates on where you can find me at local craft and gift fairs.
